Welcome to my official web site featuring images of recent paintings and current information on my art!  Having been a fine art painter since 1997, I work in traditional media including oil on canvas, watercolor and charcoal drawing.  In the past, my investigations in painting have focused on landscape ideas of industrial decay and urban detritus.  Such works were painted intuitively, from imagination, without the aid of photographic reference.

For the past few years, I have been focused on a series of paintings which are influenced by city redevelopment projects and my own photographic documentation of this same subject. This body of work is composed in either transparent watercolor, charcoal on paper or oil on canvas!  Further, I have begun to think of these cityscape paintings in a historic Houston context since they borrow from specific architectural sites within the city. The series is now organized chronologically as my “Houston History Series”.

More recently, I began a new group of pastoral landscape paintings based upon the regional Texas landscape! So far, select media for this body of work will encompass watercolor, oil on canvas and new oil pastels.

Since January of 2017 my artwork been represented by William Reaves and Sarah Foltz Fine Art Gallery in Houston, Texas. Please visit the gallery web site for more information at:
